This Privacy Policy explains how SaveNinjas collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use our website, Chrome extension, and related services.

1. Information We Collect

SaveNinjas collects only the information needed to provide price tracking, account access, notifications, and billing features.

1.1 Account Information

• email address and basic profile data from your login provider
• premium status associated with your account

1.2 Tracking and Notification Data

• product URLs you choose to track
• selected notification channels
• phone number if you use SMS or WhatsApp alerts
• push subscription details if you enable browser push

1.3 Technical and Usage Data

• basic server, browser, device, and request logs
• authentication cookies or session tokens required for login

1.4 Payment Information

Payments are handled by Stripe or another authorized payment processor. SaveNinjas does not store full credit card information.

1.5 Chrome Extension Data

• the URL of the active product page when you open the extension and choose to create a tracker
• your SaveNinjas email address, plan status, trackers, prices, notification channels, and check status after you connect your account
• an opaque extension session token used to authenticate requests to SaveNinjas
• cached tracker prices and notification state needed to identify a newly detected price drop

The extension accesses the active tab only after you open it. It does not continuously monitor your browsing history. The active page title may be displayed inside the extension but is not added to your account.

2. How We Use Information

• create and manage your account
• store and monitor tracked product URLs
• send notifications you request
• connect the Chrome extension to your account, synchronize trackers, and show extension price-drop notifications
• process payments and unlock paid features
• operate, secure, and improve the service
• respond to support or legal requests

3. Third-Party Services We Use

We use third-party providers to run SaveNinjas. Depending on the features you use, your data may be processed by services such as:

• Supabase for authentication and database storage
• Google or Meta if you choose their account login option
• Stripe for payments
• Postmark for email delivery
• Twilio for SMS and WhatsApp delivery
• web push providers and browser push services
• Oxylabs for price extraction tasks
• Vercel for hosting and application delivery

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only when necessary to:

• operate the service through trusted providers
• comply with law, regulation, or legal process
• protect users, the platform, or third parties from abuse or fraud

5. Data Retention

We retain account, tracked URL, and notification data for as long as it is needed to provide the service or meet legal and operational obligations. We may delete or anonymize data when it is no longer required.

Extension sessions expire after 30 days. Signing out from the extension revokes its current server session immediately. Uninstalling the extension removes its locally stored data through Chrome, but the corresponding server session may remain until it expires unless you sign out first.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data.

You can also stop using specific notification channels by removing tracked items, updating your phone number, or disabling push subscriptions in your browser.

You can disconnect the Chrome extension by selecting Sign out in its popup. You may also uninstall it to remove data stored locally by the extension.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Chrome Extension Permissions and Local Storage

The SaveNinjas Chrome extension requests only permissions used for its price-tracking purpose:

• active tab access to add the product page you are viewing
• identity access to complete the secure account connection flow
• alarms to synchronize account trackers periodically
• notifications to display detected price drops
• local storage for the extension session and synchronized tracker state
• access to www.saveninjas.com for account and tracker API requests

Extension information is stored using Chrome's local extension storage and is not available to ordinary websites. Tracker requests are transmitted to SaveNinjas over HTTPS.

9. Third-Party Links

SaveNinjas may link to third-party websites or product pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external sites.

10. Chrome Web Store Limited Use

SaveNinjas uses information accessed through the Chrome extension only to provide and improve its disclosed price-tracking functionality, maintain security, and comply with applicable law. We do not sell extension user data or use it for personalized advertising, creditworthiness, or lending purposes.

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of SaveNinjas after updates means you accept the revised policy.
